We have been planning this Memorial Day Weekend trip to Boca Grande since January!! We were all so excited on Friday to head to the beach with the Mueller, Hodges, O'Connor, Harrell and Politis families and had been talking it about it for weeks!!!! Friday evening was so much fun hanging out on the beach until sunset and then ordering dinner in with friends and enjoying a nice relaxing evening!!! Then Saturday we enjoyed a beautiful beach and pool day with all our friends!!! The kids had a blast playing in the waves and sand and swimming in the pool and it was so fun catching up with our good friends from college!!! The perfect Boca Grande day!!!!! Then the beginning of the worst case of the stomach flu I have ever witnessed started to set in! Jackson started first and was sick Saturday night then slept all day Sunday (so un Jackson Like and so sad)!! Then he rallied a little to play in the pool Sunday evening with the kids!!! Then the inevitable happened......Ryan and I were unlucky enough to get the stomach flu as well!! What started out to be a fantastic weekend quickly turned into a nightmare. But at least we were able to enjoy a day of fun in the sun right!?!?! Still questionable and too soon to laugh about! Ryan being the saint that he is somehow managed to get us home safely Monday morning in the extremely sick state we all were in and the 3 of us proceeded to spend the rest of memorial day on the couch :-( Oh well! Maybe next year we will have better luck, well that is if we are invited back since we gave the virus to a few of our friends and their kids :-( Now that we are all feeling better I am able to post the few pictures I took while we were all well and happy!!
