Mimi and Pops visit to Tampa

Mimi and Pops came to visit us this past weekend and we so enjoyed seeing them.  We had a fun and relaxing weekend that consisted of playing outside a lot and catching lizards which makes Jackson a very happy boy!!  And of course going to Jackson's soccer game Saturday morning!!!  This week he was ready with cleats and all however we decided that we really need to work on sportsmanlike conduct before the next game!! Thank you to Mimi and Pop for coming to visit us and we miss you already!!!  Here are a few pictures from our fun weekend!!!

Jackson's 1st Soccer Game

We have been wanting to sign Jackson up for soccer for a few reasons 1) to get some of his energy out 2) to teach him sportsmanlike conduct as early as possible and 3) to have fun..... but we hadn't been able to find a three year old team.  That is until my friend Layne told us about the one in Waterchase! Thank you Layne! So we headed out to the field at 9am Saturday morning for Jackson's first soccer game!  Jackson was a little reluctant at first but then jumped in feet first and was even more thrilled when he saw his friend Brody was playing too!  Jackson didn't love listening to the coach all the time or doing all the drills but he will learn eventually (he sometimes preferred picking flowers for mommy instead)!!!  But when it came time for the game to start he was ready to kick the ball and try to score a goal!! Jackson had a blast and so did Ryan and I so we signed him up for the season!!   This game we weren't so prepared as we wanted to make sure he liked it but the next game he will be ready with cleats and all!!  And to recap after Jackson's first soccer game we accomplished two of our goals being Jackson exerted some energy and he had fun!  Now we just have to work on sportsmanlike conduct but that might take a little while!!! Enjoy the pictures of our little soccer player!!

"F" Is for Family!

Jackson is learning all the letters of the alphabet in school this year and every week we have to do a page of things that correspond to the different letters.  So this week "F" is for Family and we had to do a page all about our family and things we and/or Jackson enjoys!!  It was a fun project to do and Jackson was a big help by telling us his favorite things and helping glue the pictures on! I tried to be creative while incorporating all of the things Jackson loves to do but there were too many to fit on this page so we had to pick our top favorites!!!! Of course the top of the list was playing outside and catching lizards then next came swimming and fishing!! And of course haley made it in the favorites as well the Gators!!!!  So here is our family project for you to enjoy!

In All Kinds of Weather We'll All Stick Together.....For F-L-O-R-I-D-A!

So the Gators lost to Alabama but that didn't stop us from having a great weekend in Gainesville (well until the loss actually happened anyway)! We had a great Saturday spending time with Gigi, Grandpa and Aunt Chele, had a fantastic time tailgating with friends and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather to the fullest!!!  And despite the upset "It is still great to be a Florida Gator" and we wouldn't have it any other way!  GO GATORS!

Trying to get a good family picture!
