Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Thanksgiving 2011 was fabulous!!!  It was great times with even greater people, delicious food and tons of laughs had by all!!  I love how we have aunts and uncles and cousins that fly/drive in from all over the country so we can all be together to celebrate this special Holiday!!  This year my parents hosted Thanksgiving Dinner for 38 people and it was awesome!!  We enjoyed every moment of the annual Bowman family reunion!!  So here are the events and the tons of pictures I took this week!!

Wednesday night was Italian night at the Kincaid's which was so much fun and ended (well for the Lossius family anyway) with Jackson falling in the pool only to pull himself out and to celebrate that he had fallen in the pool!! We secretly think he was hoping to go for a late night swim!!

A boat ride with Pops that put Jackson to sleep while the girls were working in the kitchen!

Alexandra and Jackson hanging out together!

Jackson running around with a bucket on his head right before he fell in the pool!

Then Thursday was Thanksgiving of course, hosted at my parents and what a fantastic dinner we had!  Everyone plays a part in making this party a success so thank you to everyone who made this day possible for all of us to enjoy!!

Everything Thanksgiving!!

The official countdown is on for Thanksgiving at the Lossius household! Jackson is excited to have some turkey at Mimi and Pops house, he has been wishing everyone he knows or doesn't know a Happy Thanksgiving and he is also wearing his holiday festive pajamas this whole week getting into the spirit!!!  We have absolutely loved November (although it is going by a little too fast) as we have had a little cooler weather, fun thanksgiving decorations to make and put out and we have been baking like crazy for various events and get togethers!!  So I thought I would share some fun pictures of our Thanksgiving decorations around the house and post an absolute fabulous recipe for Thanksgiving for those of you who have not yet indulged in it!!!  Enjoy!!!

Ready for the holidays to begin!!

So for the delicious Cranberry Recipe:
You can make it ahead of time and refrigerate overnight then bake the next day if its easier!

Preheat oven - 350 Degrees

Ingredients:
2 Cups tart apples chopped
2 Cups raw whole cranberries
3/4 Cup White Sugar
1 Cup Quaker Oats (not instant ones)
1/2 Cup Butter melted
1/2 Cup Flour
1/2 Cup light brown sugar

Mix all of above together - bake for 50 minutes in a buttered casserole dish. Cover 1/2 of baking time then remove cover for remainder of baking time.
Serve with dinner as a sweet side dish or with ice cream as a dessert!!
So Delicious!! Enjoy!!!

And a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!!!!
