Labor Day Weekend with family and friends from afar!

Labor day weekend always has mixed emotions as it means the end of summer :-( (well sort of in Florida) and boy has it been a great summer of 2011!!!  But it also means the start of fall which we always welcome with open arms!

Jackson and I made the trip over to Jupiter while daddy headed to Gainesville to cheer on our Gators for their first game of the 2011 season (which they won of course!) and then he joined us late saturday night after the game to enjoy the rest of the weekend!!

We had family to be and great friends come all the way to Florida to visit us which was such a treat to be able to spend labor Day with them!!! Uncle Robs brother Andy (who just returned from Iraq and boy are we happy to have him back home in the USA!) came from Texas and his sister Katy traveled from Boston and we throughly enjoyed spending time with them both.  Then my long time friend Kristina (whom I have been friends with since I was 2!) and her husband David came to visit from Cincinnati with their two adorable boys Thomas and Alex and what a great time we had seeing them as well! Jackson and Thomas were instant friends and very much enjoyed playing together!!!  We wished they lived closer :-(

Saturday the girls went shopping for Lauren's bridesmaid dresses which was so much fun although we narrowed down the color but not the style yet but don't worry there is still plenty of time!!!!!  Then Sunday was a pool and boat day that then ended with a fabulous barbeque!!!

It was truly a wonderful weekend and a great send-off to summer!! Now onto a great fall packed with lots of fun activities planned!!!  And we hope everyone comes back to visit us again soon!! We miss you all already!!!  Here are some pictures of our great Labor Day weekend!!
