GAME CHANGER!!!

Two Sunday afternoon's ago Ryan left for a business trip to Austin and Jackson, Addison and I were going to have a nice quiet afternoon watching our favorite new movie Frozen on demand on our last day of spring break! And then BOOM Addison fell and it was a game changer! Sweet Addison was toddling around like she always does and tripped over a pillow on the floor and went head first into the leg of the coffee table! It was horrible Addison was hysterical, Jackson was hysterical and I was in shock trying to get my thoughts together on what to do next!!  I called a good friend of mine Effie who just happens to be a fabulous plastic surgeon too and after texting her a picture of Addison's forehead she said ER it is although unfortunately she was out of town and couldn't meet us!!  So I packed us up made a quick stop at our friends/neighbors house to drop Jackson off! Thank you Matt and Becky you all were so sweet to take Jackson for me since Jackson wanted no part of the ER which I didn't blame him neither did I!  I drove quite fast I will admit to the St. Joe's Children's ER and when we arrived they took us right back! I'm thinking the amount of blood probably got us the fast pass in! Then my sweet friend Shea met us there which was so so nice of her since Ryan was already in the air and on his way to Austin not knowing any of this was going on! :-( And it was a good thing Shea came (thank you Shea) as it was traumatic and I definitely needed the distraction, help and support!! And I of course I was the pain in the butt parent and requested a plastic surgeon to stitch her up since it was her face and I DO NOT regret that decision for even a second! The worst part was the doctor made us leave the room while poor Addison was in a papoose screaming as they stitched her up!!  Poor baby was so upset when I got her back but they said she was so good and was one tough cookie!! :-) That's our little Addison!!  We finally picked up antibiotics then Jackson who I have to add said "Mom I had the best day of my life at Zach's house!" to which I thought to myself I am so glad although it was one of the worst days of mine! Then he followed it up with "But I was worried about Addison!" Sweet big brother!  We managed to arrive home at 9:30pm to then do Poetry homework that we had procrastinated all week! Won't do that again!  Long evening but SO SO happy Addison was all better and Jackson was in good hands!!!  She had 5 stitches outside and a few inside since she tore through the muscle! Yikes! But she got the stitches out yesterday and is good to go!!! So thankful to all who helped us during our emergency! We truly appreciate it and are so so happy Addison is on the mend!!!

Yikes!

Good to go with our stitches and steri-strip on!!
