School's Out for Summer!!

Today was Jackson's last day of school in the 3 year old class!!  I can't even believe how fast this year has gone by and on this past Tuesday I enrolled Jackson in the VPK program!!  How is that even possible!!!  Jackson was so excited for his ocean themed end of the year party today and to give his teachers their gifts (which I had a blast making!!) And shockingly enough we were actually on time for school today of course the last day and just about the only day we were on time all year!!  I even called my mom on our way to school and she said "Wow you guys are early today why?!?"  Oh well maybe we will have better luck next year!!!  And although Jackson was excited for the party this morning, he came home this afternoon from school and told me he was going to really miss his friends :-(  which makes me sad because most of his friends won't be in the same class next year including Brynna (but shhh don't tell Jackson it will ruin his summer).  

But on a happy note we received Jackson's progress report and he did very well!!  He grew 1 1/4 inches from the first day of school and gained 4 pounds and he received mostly 1's (which means skill is consistently evident) and just a few 2's (which means Skill is developing) so naturally Ryan and I are proud parents!!!  And Jackson's teacher Miss Michele said Jackson's loving, exuberant personality makes him a joy to have in class!!  All in all a great year and we are looking forward to a fabulous and relaxing summer full of fun activities for our little guy!!!!!!

Layne's Surprise Party!!!

Bridget and I decided to have a Surprise party for Layne to celebrate her birthday!!!  We had been planning for weeks and Layne had no idea which is the best part!  And boy did Bridget and I have a blast planning this pink and orange themed party!!  Since we love Pinterest we were all about putting all the creative ideas into action for Layne's big surprise!!  From the "birthday cake" martinis to the pink and orange wrapping paper table runner to the pretzel buttons and of course their was a Happy Birthday pennant since we know Layne loves her pennants!!!  So Layne originally thought she was going to dinner at Catch 23 with Shawn and Bridget and Ryan and I so we definitely SURPRISED her when she opened the door and saw her friends and family there to welcome her!!!  Love it!!!!  Layne is an amazing person and is always doing the sweetest things for everyone so we wanted to do something super fun and sweet for her!!  Mission Accomplished the party was a smashing success!!!  And a huge thank you to Bridget and Shawn for hosting the party at their beautiful home and for all the hard work they did for the party!!  You were an awesome co-host Bridget thank you!!! Enjoy the pictures they are so fun!!!

Disney On Ice!!

Thursday was a very busy day for Jackson and I!!!  As I told you in the last post immediately after Jackson performed we had to rush to Disney On Ice with Aunt Shea and Gracie!!  Disney On Ice started at 7pm so Jackson and I missed the first act but we arrived just in time to see Cinderella and Jackson's favorite Tangled!!  It was a fantastic show and of course Jackson and Gracie had the best time!!! It was a crazy busy day for me but a great one since I got to spend it with my favorite little boy!!!!!!  Enjoy!!!

Jackson's Spring Program!!!

Jackson had his spring program Thursday which signifies the end of the year is near and Jackson will be finishing up his last days this week in the 3 year old class!!! My how this year has flown by!!!  The program was so sweet and the 3 year old class sang some adorable songs!!!  Jackson was so excited about the program which you will be able to tell in the video I post since he acts like a Mexican Jumping Bean throughout the whole program!!!  Miss Michele, his teacher said she thought he was jumping because he was nervous I on the other hand think he just had a lot of energy as usual and it is not really Jackson's style to stand still for a period of time!!!   After the 3 year old program the 4 year olds were dressed in caps and gowns and they graduate from preschool, we couldn't stay for that as Jackson and I had to rush off to see Disney On Ice at 7pm, however it looked like the cutest thing ever and they even played Pomp and Circumstance as the 4 year olds walked down the aisle!!  Pretty sure next year I will shed some serious tears!!!  Anyway here are a few pictures from the program although I didn't have great seats because of course we ran a little late and the families of the 4 year olds sat in the first 3 rows to see their graduates!!!
